THE STORY

On May 27, 1993, during overtime of Game 6 of the Western Conference Final between the Los Angeles Kings and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Wayne Gretzky high-sticked Doug Gilmour in the face. Referee Kerry Fraser did not call a penalty, and moments later, Gretzky scored the game-winning goal, leading the Kings to a 4-3 victory and forcing a decisive Game 7.
