On June 19, 1999, during Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Buffalo Sabres and the Dallas Stars, Brett Hull scored a triple-overtime goal that clinched the championship for Dallas. The goal was controversial because Hull's skate was in the crease before the puck entered the net, a violation of the crease rule at the time.
