In the 2011 US Open semifinals, Roger Federer led Novak Djokovic by two sets and held two match points at 5-3 in the fifth set. However, Djokovic saved both match points, eventually winning the match 6–7(7–9), 4–6, 6–3, 6–2, 7–5, and advanced to the final. This marked the second consecutive year Djokovic overcame match points against Federer in the US Open semifinals.
