On August 15, 2011, during the Rolex Fastnet Race off the Irish coast, the 100-foot racing yacht Rambler 100 capsized after its canting keel detached. All 21 crew members were rescued safely. The incident prompted safety reviews and led to changes in offshore racing regulations.
