THE STORY
In the 2004 NBA Draft on June 24, the Phoenix Suns selected Luol Deng with the seventh overall pick. Immediately after the selection, the Suns traded Deng's draft rights to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for a future first-round pick, the draft rights to Jackson Vroman (31st pick), and cash considerations.

WHY IT MATTERS
This decision is often criticized, as Deng developed into a two-time NBA All-Star, while Vroman played only two seasons in the league.
