THE STORY
In August 2010, during the fourth Test between England and Pakistan at Lord's, Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Asif deliberately bowled no-balls as part of a spot-fixing scheme orchestrated by bookmaker Mazhar Majeed. This led to his suspension by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and subsequent legal action. Asif was later convicted and served a prison sentence for his involvement in the scandal.
