THE STORY
On February 21, 2000, during a game between the Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver, Bruins defenseman Marty McSorley swung his stick at Canucks forward Donald Brashear's head with 4.6 seconds remaining. Brashear collapsed, suffering a Grade III concussion and a seizure. McSorley was ejected, suspended for the remainder of the season, and later convicted of assault with a weapon, receiving 18 months' probation.
