THE STORY
In November 2015, Francis Joyon and his crew aboard IDEC Sport began their attempt to break the Jules Verne Trophy record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe. They faced challenges in the Doldrums, experiencing light winds and calms that hindered their progress. Despite these setbacks, they maintained a competitive pace, setting a new record for the fastest time to the Equator at that time. However, they ultimately did not finish the full circumnavigation within the record time.
