THE STORY
On October 12, 1989, the Dallas Cowboys traded running back Herschel Walker to the Minnesota Vikings. In exchange, the Cowboys received five players and six draft picks. The Vikings believed Walker was the missing piece for a Super Bowl run, but the Cowboys used the acquired draft picks to build a dynasty, winning three Super Bowls in the 1990s.
