THE STORY
During the 2010 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match between England and Germany on June 27, 2010, England's Frank Lampard took a shot that struck the crossbar and clearly crossed the goal line before bouncing back into play. Referee Jorge Larrionda did not award the goal, and play continued. Germany won the match 4-1, eliminating England from the tournament.
