On November 27, 2016, after a 3-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, the Florida Panthers dismissed head coach Gerard Gallant. Following the game, Gallant was informed of his firing and waited for a taxi outside PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, as the team departed without him. (nhl.com)
