THE STORY
In March 2018, during the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town, Australian cricketer David Warner orchestrated a plan to alter the ball's condition using sandpaper. He instructed teammate Cameron Bancroft to execute the tampering, which was caught on camera. Warner was subsequently banned from international and domestic cricket for 12 months and permanently barred from leadership roles.
