THE STORY
On November 30, 2005, the Boston Bruins traded captain Joe Thornton to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forwards Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau, and defenseman Brad Stuart. At the time of the trade, Thornton was leading the league with 33 points in 24 games. After the trade, Thornton continued his high-level performance, recording 92 points in 58 games for the Sharks during the 2005–06 season.
