At the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Perth, Australia, British sailor Ben Ainslie was disqualified from races nine and ten after boarding a media boat to confront the crew for allegedly hindering his performance. This led to his removal from medal contention, finishing 11th overall. Ainslie later apologized for his actions.
