THE STORY
In the 2003 Fiesta Bowl on January 3, 2003, Miami faced Ohio State. Late in the fourth quarter, Miami's defensive back Glenn Sharpe was called for pass interference on a 4th-and-14 play, extending Ohio State's drive. Ohio State scored a touchdown on the subsequent play, leading to a 31-24 overtime victory and the national championship.
